Digital Annual General Meetings adopted as a permanent option

The German parliament has decided to permanently enshrine virtual annual general meetings in law. With a law introducing virtual general meetings, shareholders will also have the opportunity to participate in digital meetings in future. The new regulation will also be extended to the general meetings of cooperatives.
The adopted law replaces the previous special regulation with a permanent legal framework.
